Under limited supervision, acts as a liaison between the President and Parish staff. Work involves serving as the Presidentís day to day administrator and manager for governmental functions and as the executive supervisor of many of in the positions involved in Parish governance. Reports to the Parish President.

Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff of employees; processes employee concerns and problems; counsels and disciplines employees.

Serves as the Parish Presidentís representative, which involves overseeing the planning, formation, and implementation of the Parish budget; consulting with staff to ascertain the financial requirements of each department; advising staff on budget limitations and resolving conflicts.

Oversees the directors and managers of the Department of Finance, Public Works, Maintenance, and Human Resources; advises on all matters relating to Parish government.

Communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, Parish officials, residents, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities; review status of work, exchange information, resolve problems or give/receive advice/direction.
