Gordon is expected to make landfall tonight, possibly as a category one hurricane along the Mississippi coast. It will weaken and slow down its forward motion after landfall.

For our region, minimal rain coverage is expected on Wednesday, with the best chance to see rain in central Louisiana. We will see a higher rain coverage on Thursday. Less than an inch of rain is forecast.

At the coast, tides will run a foot above normal this week. Minor coastal flooding is possible during periods of high tides late at night
