From the National Weather Service in Lake Charles:
The National Hurricane Center gives a low 20% chance for tropical development on a broad area of low pressure in the Bay of Campeche.
Long term, we are expecting increasing rain chances next week, especially in the Tuesday through Friday time frame. This has the potential to cause more problems for flooded rivers such as the Atchafalaya. Stay tuned for updates as we head towards an active weather pattern next week.
