NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF DISTRICT 3

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW IBERIA, LA - June 24, 2021 - The Iberia Parish Council announces that a seat on the Iberia Parish Council, representing District 3, has become vacant upon the resignation of Iberia Parish Council member Brad Davis, which resignation became effective June 11, 2021.

Members of the Iberia Parish Council must be at least eighteen (18) years old and qualified electors and residents of the election district which they represent. All applicants must be residents of District 3, may not hold dual office, and may not serve simultaneously on certain other public boards specified in the Constitution of Louisiana.

Persons interested in seeking this position will be requested to address the Council at their July 14, 2021 meeting to present their qualifications. Persons should forward a letter of interest and/or resume no later than Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 12:00 noon to the attention of Mr. Warren P. Gachassin, Jr., Chairman, Iberia Parish Council, c/o Clerk of the Council, 300 Iberia Street - Suite 410, New Iberia, LA 70560.
