Iberia Parish President M. Larry Richard announces a boil advisory - 1/2/2018 For more information contact: Prescott Marshall
ATTENTION ALL CUSTOMERS OF WATERWORKS DISTRICT #3 OF IBERIA PARISH
WATERWORKS DISTRICT #3 OF IBERIA PARISH is experiencing problems with their water supply causing a boil advisory to be issued. Due to the low pressure, water distributed by the WATERWORKS DISTRICT #3 OF IBERIA PARISH is of questionable microbiological quality. As a precaution, the Water System is issuing a BOIL ADVISORY, effective immediately. It will remain in effect until rescinded by WATERWORKS DISTRICT #3 OF IBERIA PARISH.
It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means: Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)
Your bill will indicate if you are served by Waterworks District #3. This district's service area is generally described as the area West of Old Spanish Trail, South of Captain Cade Road, North of Jefferson Island Road, and East of Guillotte Road. |
