After consultation with State and local health care officials, the Iberia Parish Office Of Emergency Preparedness, our local emergency preparedness partners and other similar agencies, I AM ORDERING THAT ALL CITIZENS OF IBERIA PARISH HAVING SPECIAL MEDICAL NEEDS IMMEDIATELY CALL 1-800-901-3210 FOR AN INITIAL EVALUATION OF THE NEED FOR EVACUATION TRANSPORTATION SERVICES AND SHELTER ASSISTANCE. AFTER CALLING THAT NUMBER, THOSE QUALIFYING SPECIAL MEDICAL NEEDS INDIVIDUALS SEEKING EVACUATION TRANSPORTATION AND SHELTER ASSISTANCE SHOULD REPORT TO THE NEW IBERIA VETERAN MEMORIAL BUILDING LOCATED IN THE NEW IBERIA CITY PARK AT 500 MARIE STREET, NEW ffiERIA, LA 70563 BEGINNING AT 8:30A.M. ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2020. Your timely arrival is important as transportation services will end at 12:00 noon October 8, 2020. Your failure to take advantage of this opportunity could result in your being without power and unable to be rescued, provided with lifesaving assistance or leave your residence due to high water, flood waters and storm debris.

Those special medical needs individuals wishing to take advantage of this opportunity should bring with them one (1) caregiver, any portable medical assistive equipment, 7-10 days of medical supplies and an adequate supply of face masks or face coverings.

This order does not apply to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or similar establishments.
