Cristobal is near Grand Isle, Louisiana coast as a 50 mph tropical storm.
Storm surge of 1 to 2 feet above ground level is expected Monday morning during high tide near Sabine Pass, Cameron Parish, and western Vermilion Parish. Storm surge of 2 to 3 feet above ground level is expected Monday morning from Intracoastal City to Morgan City. Tonight the threat for flooding will be in rain bands along and east of the I-49 corridor. Monday the greatest threat for flooding will be in rain bands that set up north of I-10 to north of the US 190 corridor in Louisiana.
In the stronger rain bands there could be wind gusts of tropical storm force tonight and Monday. In addition there is a small threat for tornadoes in the rain bands, especially during the afternoon and early evening on Monday. |
