Iberia Parish Government is announcing an opening for an Right Of Way Agent - 7/20/2017 For more information contact: Donna McDonald Iberia Parish Government Job Posted June 28, 2017 Right of Way Agent Job Description Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Performs planning work in the research and administration of Parish development regulations. Performs work related to Right of Way activities which primarily involve securing right of way permission from Parish residents. Responsible for negotiations and obtaining rights-of-way for Parish usage from private land owners, and doing so on mutually acceptable term, when practical. Maintains records of interviews with citizens and results of interviews. Conducts reviews of real estate appraisals, abstracts, conducts title researches, studies highway and engineering plans, maps, etc., works with special projects, maintains working knowledge of GIS and mapping, stays abreast of statutory regulations, requirements, and changes that relate to right of way projects. Communicates with land owners, attorney’s and various consultants relative to Parish projects including engineers, surveyors, etc. Job Requirements Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by college course work or training in a related field such as engineering or urban planning with two years of local government planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the job. Must possess a valid Louisiana state driver’s license.
