Iberia Parish – We are still under a Tropical Storm Warning. The 4AM forecast from the National Hurricane Center has moved the track of Potential Tropical Cyclone Three away from us to near the LA/TX border, but most of the effects of this storm will occur on our side of the track and throughout coastal Louisiana. . The earlierst arrival time of tropical storm force winds in our area has been delayed from yesterdays forecast – it is now between 8PM Tuesday to 2AM Wednesday. Our tides are forecast to be 1 – 3’ above normal and we are forecast to receive 4 – 8” of rain so significant flooding in Iberia Parish is possible.
We will have a conference call with our local NWS office at 10AM and will provide a detailed forecast following this call.
