Iberia Parish President M. Larry Richard would like to announce the opening of a donation center for Hurricane Maria survivors in Puerto Rico - 9/28/2017 For more information contact: Prescott Marshall
As part of a statewide donation effort directed by Governor John Bel Edwards, Iberia Parish Government Has Opened a donation center at the Sugar Cane Festival Building, The address is 520 Park view Drive, New Iberia LA. This donation center will be open to receive donations from 2PM until 6PM beginning Friday, September 29th until Wednesday, October 11th.
Iberia Parish and State of Louisiana are asking for donations of the following: .Diapers .powered baby formula .baby wipes .baby bottles and nipples .feminine care products
It is important to ONLY donate the items on the list and they should be new in the manufacturer's original packages.
Donation drivers, at time, can cause more burden for a disaster area if a planned system is not used from start to finish. Keeping the initial statewide drive limited to specific items will make shipping the donations easier and will speed the delivery of the items to the people of Puerto Rico. The donation drive may continue in the future with additional items should that support be needed.
