APPOINTMENTS TO IBERIA PARISH HOME RULE CHARTER AD-HOC COMMITTEE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW IBERIA, LA - MAY 4, 2017 - The Iberia Parish Council announces that letters of interest from the public will be accepted for four appointments to the Iberia Parish Home Rule Charter Ad-Hoc Committee until May 15, 2017.

Resolution No. 2017-65, adopted April 26, 2017, authorized the creation of the Iberia Parish Home Rule Charter Ad-Hoc Committee to review and make recommendations for changes to the Home Rule Charter. The Ad-Hoc Committee, which will include four members from the public, four members from the Iberia Parish Council, and one member from Iberia Parish Government’s Administration, will be appointed from letters of interest received by Chairman Natalie Broussard.

Residents of Iberia Parish who are interested in being appointed to one of the four public positions on this Ad-Hoc Committee should forward a letter of interest no later than Monday, May 15, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. to the attention of Ms. Natalie Broussard, Chairman, Iberia Parish Council, c/o Clerk of the Council, 300 Iberia Street - Suite 410, New Iberia, LA 70560. Letters may also be faxed to 337-369-7424.
