From the National Weather Service at 5PM on TS Barry: Current forecast for Iberia Parish between Friday evening and Sunday morning: 10”-15” of rain, possibly higher in some locations; 58 MPH – 84 MPH winds beginning between midday Friday and Friday evening; and storm surge depths of up to 3’ above ground level below U.S. Highway 90 and LA Highway 14. Tropical Storm Barry has not strengthened yet, but it is still expected to strengthen to a category one hurricane before landfall Saturday in south central Louisiana. A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Vermilion, Iberia and St. Mary Parishes. A Tropical Storm Warning and Hurricane Watch is in effect for Cameron Parish. A Flash Flood Watch continues for Avoyelles, St. Landry, Lafayette, St. Martin, Vermilion, Iberia, and St. Mary Parishes. A Storm Surge Watch continues for Vermilion, Iberia, and St. Mary Parishes.
