Larry Richard - Distribution of cloth masks from Hanes Co. and GOHSEP - 4/29/2020 Emergency For more information contact: Prescott Marshall Iberia Parish is extremely grateful to the Hanes Company for their donation of 34,000 cloth face masks and to the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness for distributing these masks to us. I consulted with and appreciate the assistance of our municipalities, our charitable organizations, the Iberia Parish School District and the Louisiana Department of Health to develop a plan to distribute these masks and to protect our most vulnerable citizens. Our plan capitalized on the existing systems in our Parish for providing meals, services and support to our most vulnerable and needy citizens and on our municipal leaders that know their communities best. With their help Iberia Parish Government has so far distributed 31,700 cloth face masks. We are currently working with our community partners to quickly distribute the remaining 2,300 masks to our most vulnerable citizens.
