IBERIA PARISH PRESS RELEASE M. Larry Richard Parish President Beginning on Tuesday, June 16th residents of Iberia parish will have more local options for COVID-19 testing. In partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health/Office of Public Health, and the Louisiana National Guard we will be operating mobile COVID-19 testing sites in Iberia Parish. The sites will be staffed by members of the Louisiana National Guard and will operate from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, see schedule below.

Testing Site Details:

•Testing is open for any Louisiana Resident sixteen (16) years of age and older with valid

Louisiana identification.

•There is no cost for the testing, and no symptoms are required to test.

•The testing site will be conducted as a drive-thru test site. Walk-up testing is not preferred due to safety concerns, but they will not be turned away.

•Once on site, those being tested will need to wear a mask and stay in their cars for verification of eligibility criteria, ID check and self-administered testing.

•The site will use a self-administered nasal swab test that will allow those being tested to swab their own nose onsite while in their vehicles, observed by a trained medical volunteer to ensure the sample is taken correctly.

•Once results are received, the local Office of Public will contact those who were tested to communicate their results and share any necessary information.
