Hanna could strengthen more before landfall Saturday afternoon on the south Texas coast. In our region, wind gusts in the rain bands could be as high as 30 to 40 mph.
Some places along and south of the I-10 corridor of southeast Texas and southern Louisiana could see 2-4 inches through Monday. Expect flash flooding during the heaviest rains.
Tides are running almost 2 feet above normal. A coastal flood advisory is in effect. Minor coastal flooding will occur during high tides this evening and Saturday morning.
