Iberia Parish Government is continuing to work with the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness on getting Iberia Parish residents approved for FEMA Individual Assistance, and has received an extension until December 15th for us to seek this approval. FEMA’s decision whether to approve making Iberia Parish eligible for this type of assistance is mainly based on photographic documentation of private homes which rendered uninhabitable or were destroyed.
