Iberia Parish – Here is our latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Lake Charles. The forecaster emphasized that there is a lot of uncertainty in the forecast, but the NWS is currently forecasting that freezing precipitation in our area on Monday (when the threat is greatest) will stay north of US Hwy 190. From the National Weather Service:
“Cold to very cold air expected late this weekend through mid next week.
Some freezing or frozen precipitation possible this weekend, but more likely Monday into early Tuesday.
A good deal of uncertainty at this time, but a high impact winter weather event is possible Monday”
