YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION CARD - IT’S IN THE MAIL!

NEW IBERIA, LA, August 5, 2021 - The Iberia Parish Council’s adoption of Ordinance No. 2019-11-5007 limited the number of precincts to be used in upcoming elections and will result in some registered voters receiving a new Voter Registration Card prior to the October election. This October 9th, we will have a ballot that will include a City Marshall race for City voters and Constitutional Amendments for both the City and Parish voters.

Voter Registration Cards are scheduled to be mailed the second week of August to 22,313 registered voters. Some voters may notice that their polling place location has changed. However, not all voters are affected. If your voting place has not changed, you continue to vote at the same polling location as in previous elections. Please take a minute to review your Voter Registration Card when received to determine if your voting place has changed so you will not be inconvenienced going to the wrong location on election day.

Information included on your Voter Registration Card is your name, address, Ward/Precinct, polling place location, and any districts in which you are eligible to vote during an election. Again, your polling place location may/may not have changed from previous elections.
