Iberia Parish – We just received the following update from the NWS in Lake Charles:
The National Weather Service is monitoring an area of disturbed weather over the southwest Caribbean Sea. A tropical depression or tropical storm may develop late this week as it moves northward into the Gulf of Mexico. The current forecast track keeps this activity mainly over the eastern Gulf. At this time, we are not expecting threats to our area, but we will continue to monitor this system through the weekend.
