Executive Parish Supervisor and Administrator
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) acts as a liaison between the Parish President and Parish staff, serving as the President’s administrator, managing governmental functions, and supervising executive positions involved in Parish governance. Reporting to the Parish President, responsibilities include supervising, directing, and evaluating assigned staff, addressing employee concerns and problems, and providing counseling and discipline as needed.
This role represents the Parish President by overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of the Parish budget, consulting with staff to determine the financial needs of each department, advising on budget constraints, and resolving conflicts. Additionally, it involves communicating with supervisors, employees, Parish officials, residents, the public, outside agencies, and other individuals to coordinate activities, review work status, exchange information, and resolve issues.
Through these efforts, the CAO ensures efficient and effective governance, contributing to the overall well-being of Iberia Parish.
