From Iberia Parish President M. Larry Richard –
Iberia Parish Waterworks District No. 3 (“Coteau”) and St. Martin Parish Waterworks District No. 3 (“Cade”) are working together to strengthen water service for families and businesses in our communities.
Through a new Cooperative Endeavor Agreement, certain customers living in St. Martin Parish will now receive their water service directly from Cade. This will help create clearer service boundaries and allow both districts to better plan for future improvements and infrastructure needs.
The agreement also establishes a new metered connection between the Cade and Coteau water systems. This connection gives the two districts the ability to help support one another if additional water is ever needed due to an unexpected shortage.
At the end of the day, this partnership is about something simple: working together to provide safe, reliable water for the people we serve.
By strengthening our systems and working together across parish lines, Coteau and Cade are helping build a stronger and more dependable water future for Iberia and St. Martin Parishes. 💧
