From the NWS Lake Charles: There is high confidence that arctic air will overtake the region starting Sunday night and lasting until at-least Wednesday night. This means we will likely see subfreezing temperatures for long durations with hard freeze conditions. We will also likely see dangerous wind chills. There remains a high degree of uncertainty at the moment related to the winter precipitation aspect of this event.

As freezing temperatures approach, remember the 5 P’s of cold weather preparedness: Protect People, Protect Pets, Protect Plants, Protect Pipes, and Practice Fire Safety. Stay safe and stay warm!
