The Iberia Parish Mosquito Control District will conduct additional aerial mosquito control operations tonight, Thursday, June 26, to target persistent mosquito populations. Favorable surveillance and weather conditions have provided an opportunity to expand coverage ahead of the July 4th weekend.

Spraying will begin near sunset and last approximately one hour, weather permitting.

  • Tonight, June 26: Shirley area and surrounding neighborhoods
(Including: From Rodere Canal and Hwy 90 west to Valery Rd. and Lake Peigneur, and from Jefferson Island Rd. south to Derouen Rd., as well as Avery Island Rd., L. Theriot Rd., Hwy 14, Rynella Park, and all points in between)
