The Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement District will conduct aerial mosquito control operations on Wednesday (10/23) and Thursday (10/24), to address persistent mosquito populations.
Areas covered include Jeanerette on Wednesday and Lydia and Bayou Jack on Thursday.
Spraying will begin near sunset and last one hour. Citizens are advised to wear mosquito repellent, avoid activity at dawn and dusk, and remove standing water around their homes. If you notice low-flying aircraft, do not attempt to follow them as they move quickly.
