The Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement District will conduct aerial mosquito control operations tonight (10/9), to address high mosquito populations.
Areas in Jeanerette include Old Jeanerette Rd., Right Way Rd., Camors Ln., Main St., LaMaire airport, Jeanerette High School and all points in between.
Spraying will begin near sunset and last one hour. Citizens are advised to wear mosquito repellent, avoid activity at dawn and dusk, and remove standing water around their homes. If you notice low-flying aircraft, do not attempt to follow them as they move quickly.
