The Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement District will conduct aerial mosquito control operations Wednesday (6/4), Thursday (6/5), and Friday (6/6) evenings to address persistent mosquito populations.
Spraying will begin near sunset and last approximately one hour, weather permitting.
• Wednesday (6/4): Coteau and surrounding areas, including Romero Rd., Mel Dr., Capt. Cade Rd., Hwy 90, Acadiana Regional Airport, Hwy 3212, and all points in between.
• Thursday (6/5): Coteau Holmes area, including Gondron, Boutte Rd., Harold Landry, Braquet Rd., Lake Dauterive Rd., Blue Ln., and surrounding areas.
• Friday (6/6): Lydia, Avery Island, South Port of Iberia, Bayou Jack, College Rd., and nearby areas.
Citizens are encouraged to wear mosquito repellent as directed, avoid outdoor activity at dawn and dusk, wear light-colored clothing, and eliminate standing water around their homes.
