Iberia Parish Severe Weather Update
From the National Weather Service in Lake Charles:
This morning’s National Weather Service forecast for the approaching storm system predicts more severe weather than yesterday’s forecast did.
Our severe weather is forecast to begin around noon and peak around 10PM – Midnight.
The chance of tornadoes has increased from 5%-9% up to 10% to 14%.
Our forecast now calls for 2”-3” of rainfall.
A 30% – 44% change of 58 MPH wind gusts within 25 miles of any point.
A 15%-29% chance of hail 1” or greater within 25 miles of any point.
Tide levels 2’-2.5’ above normal today, switching to below normal tides after midnight.
Windy (30-35mph sustained, gusts to 45mph) conditions today and tomorrow.
