The National Weather Service Lake Charles advises that although the upcoming tropical development system is not expected to bring strong winds or storm surge, there is a high potential for heavy rainfall.
Storms may develop in a “training pattern,” leading to localized downpours in a short period. The system remains unorganized, but the current moisture pattern supports the forecast for significant rain, especially Thursday and Friday, with conditions improving by Saturday.
Please stay weather aware and monitor local forecasts for updates.
