From Iberia Parish President M. Larry Richard – The National Weather Service Lake Charles has issued a Tornado Watch for Iberia Parish, in effect until 9:00 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes, along with the potential for severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, hail, and localized flooding.
Residents are urged to stay alert, monitor trusted weather sources, and have a safe place identified in case a warning is issued. Please take all necessary precautions and remain weather aware throughout the evening.
