The NWS Lake Charles has forecasted that brisk north winds behind a cold front today will bring in another cold air mass of arctic origin with temperatures dropping below freezing by tonight. No significant precipitation is forecast to occur through the weekend. However, hazardous cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills will occur through Sunday night. These low wind chills can present dangerous conditions to those who may have heating issues. Residents are urged to check on neighbors, friends, and elderly. Please remain vigilant and weather aware.
