This is what took place yesterday on Bayou Teche, and it’s not something you see every day. Two incredible vessels, built right here in Iberia Parish by the skilled team at Breaux Brothers Enterprises, are now on their way to destinations far beyond our parish.
“Lady Kailani” is a 65-foot catamaran excursion vessel, worth $3.75 million, making her way from Loreauville to the Bahamas. From there, she’ll be transported to her final destination in Kauai, Hawaii, where she will be used for snorkeling, sightseeing, and whale-watching tours.
“Shine Down” is a 120-foot luxury houseboat, valued at $10 million, heading to Apalachicola, Florida. This personal floating residence was designed to sail wherever her owners choose to vacation.
This kind of activity on Bayou Teche showcases the world-class work being done right here in Iberia Parish. Hats off to Breaux Brothers Enterprises for continuing to put our community on the map.
