The National Weather Service (NWS) Lake Charles indicates that Iberia Parish remains under a Tropical Storm Warning as the tropical system approaches landfall near the Texas/Louisiana border. A Flood Watch also remains in effect through Thursday.
Heavy Rainfall: Average rainfall totals are expected to be between 2 to 4 inches. High-end localized totals could reach 2 to 8 inches, and there remains a 10% chance that rainfall rates could go even higher.
Coastal Storm Surge: Peak storm surge is currently forecast at 2 to 4 feet during high tide.
Severe Weather Risks: There is a minor, secondary risk for isolated tornadoes, hail, and wind gusts exceeding 40 mph.
