Summer Kick-Off

Join us for a fun-filled morning to kick off the summer! Enjoy activities like bean bag toss, ring toss, giant Connect-4, Tic-Tac-Toe, and more! Don’t miss the announcement of the summer bookmark contest winners and a special performance by Jimez Alexander at 10:30 AM. Plus, grab a tasty treat from RocStar Café and register for the 2024 summer reading program.

Professional actor and teaching artist, Jimez Alexander, will lead an action-packed theater adventure with his performance “The Actors Lunch Break,” focusing on storytelling, healthy eating, and active living! Open to all ages, no registration required.
Youth Tiny Art Show
- When: All Summer Long
- Where: Main Library, 445 E. Main Street, New Iberia, LA 70560
Young artists ages 3-17 are invited to create a piece of art based on this year’s summer reading theme, “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” Art must be on a 4×4 inch canvas, which can be picked up at any Iberia Parish Library location along with entry forms. Submit your artwork from June 1 to July 19. An art reception will be held on July 26 at the Main Library to display all the creative entries.
