Severe thunderstorms, including some potentially intense ones, are expected to develop early Saturday morning ahead of an approaching cold front. An Enhanced Risk of severe weather is forecast for Southwest Louisiana, including Iberia Parish.
While rainfall amounts may not pose an immediate threat, other hazards such as hail, damaging wind gusts, and the potential for tornadoes remain possible. The storm activity is expected to begin around 7 AM Saturday and continue through the afternoon hours (12 PM).
