A Category 1 hurricane will make landfall in Cameron Parish Wednesday afternoon.
Iberia Parish is forecast to experience 6”-8” of rain, with up to 12” of rain possible in isolated locations across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tropical Storm force winds (39+mph) are forecast to begin between midnight Tuesday night and noon Wednesday, along with possible tornadoes. We are forecast to experience storm surge flooding along the coast.
More information on the degree of storm surge flooding will be shared as soon as we receive it from the National Weather Service.
