The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is forecasting an areawide drop into sub-freezing temperatures Sunday overnight into Monday morning. Overnight lows are expected to fall into the low 30s, with wind chills in the 20s. Most locations in Iberia Parish can expect 3 to 4 hours of below-freezing conditions. These temperatures and wind chills may be hazardous to people, plants, pipes, and pets. Now is the time to make necessary preparations for this brief but robust cold outbreak.
