Due to ongoing water system issues, Coteau Water Services will temporarily shut off water service within the next 2 – 3 hours until 6:00 AM tomorrow, to allow the system to replenish and to address necessary maintenance.
Field personnel have been working diligently throughout the day, detecting and closing leaks in an effort to stabilize the system. Despite their efforts, significant water and pressure loss has continued, requiring this temporary shutdown to prevent further strain on the system and allow for additional repairs.
Residents are advised to fill bathtubs and store water in containers before the shutdown to meet their essential water needs overnight. While water service will be unavailable during the shutdown, residents are encouraged to report suspected leaks after service resumes tomorrow to the Coteau Waterworks District No. 3 office at (337)367-6111 including the location.
Our primary objective is to fully replenish our water inventory and ensure that all water, sewer, and contract personnel are available tomorrow to continue detecting and addressing leaks in a coordinated effort.
A boil advisory will remail in effect until further notice once water service is restored.
Your cooperation will help expedite the process of restoring the water system to full capacity. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank our residents for their patience and understanding as our teams work tirelessly to resolve these issues.
