I, Fire Chief Guy M. Bonin, hereby declare a burn ban for the Parish of Iberia.
Any temporary burn ban so imposed by Iberia Parish Fire District shall prohibit ALL outdoor burning until such time as the Fire Chief determines that the weather conditions are safe enough to cancel the burn ban.
This burn ban becomes effective 10-06-2022 at 12:00 PM. It shall remain in effect until canceled.
This order shall not apply to prescribed burns by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, by those trained and certified by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry, by those who conduct prescribed burning as a “generally accepted agriculture practice” as defined by the Louisiana Right to Farm Law (R.S. 3:3601 et seq.), or as permitted by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.
