Iberia Parish – TS Harvey’s forecast track has shifted closer to Iberia Parish and we’ve been added to the weather service’s Tropical Storm Warning (see blue warning area in track map below). This increases our forecast for Tropical Storm force winds with gusts of 30 mph to 45 mph and the chance of a 1-3 foot storm surge (see NWS Potential Storm Surge Flooding Map below). We are also forecast to receive 5” – 10” of rain today with a 15% chance of tornados, the same as yesterday
Iberia Parish public schools will be closed tomorrow. New Iberia City Hall and Iberia Parish Government are closed today, and opening decisions for tomorrow will be made after our 4:30pm weather conference call with the NWS
