The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting an active weather pattern today. There is a slight (15%) risk for severe storms today, primarily for damaging winds.
Between one and four inches of rain is forecast today, with locally higher amounts. The highest rain totals will be between Lake Charles, Lafayette, Marksville, and Oakdale. Expect to see street flooding during periods of heavy rain.
