Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to officially open their new building at 4701 W. Admiral Doyle Drive. In 2022, Iberia Parish President M. Larry Richard proposed the acquisition of the 24,000 square foot facility to the Iberia Parish Council, who unanimously approved the $1.6 million purchase, which included the building and contents.
The Sheriff’s Office had outgrown its previous headquarters, requiring them to locate several divisions in multiple locations. This new building allows most of those departments to be centralized into one location, drastically improving the efficiencies of their operation, resulting in a greater ability to meet the needs of the citizens of Iberia Parish.
