PUBLIC HEARINGS TO OBTAIN COMMENTS REGARDING THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF REAPPORTIONMENT PLAN 2A

FOR IBERIA PARISH COUNCIL DISTRICTS

In accordance with Section 2-02. Reapportionment B. of the Iberia Parish Home Rule Charter, the Iberia Parish Council announces Public Hearings to be held on December 1st, 8th, and 15th on proposed Reapportionment Plan 2A for the Iberia Parish Council Districts.

The purpose of these public hearings is to obtain public comments on proposed Reapportionment Plan 2A to be adopted for the Iberia Parish Council Districts based on the 2020 Census. Reapportionment Plan 2A may be viewed on the Iberia Parish Government’s website at the link above.

Persons wishing to address the Council regarding Reapportionment Plan 2A are encouraged to attend any of the aforementioned Parish Council meetings to express their comments. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers, located on the Fourth Floor of the Main Court Building (300 Iberia Street, New Iberia) beginning at 6:00 p.m., are open to the public, and while face coverings are not required, they are recommended for all persons attending and not able to maintain social distancing within the Chambers.
